Disney’s purple sweet treats are popping up all over Walt Disney World resort. Which treat is the perfect purple portion pairing for your new Mickey ears?

Decadent desserts are one of the best parts of a visit to Walt Disney World resort. Right now, Disney’s purple sweet treats are taking over the dessert menus. As Disney fanatics don the newest Mickey ears, Potion Purple headbands, these sweet treats are the perfect pairing for your newest Disney-wear.

Periodically, Disney adds some limited time treats to its dessert menus. Whether it is a Mickey birthday celebration or a holiday event, these special desserts often make foodie envious of travelers who get to sample the sweet treats. Right now, Disney is enveloped in a swatch of purple sweetness.

Throughout Walt Disney World, purple infused sweet treats are available. Many of the hotels offer their unique spin on a purple-centric cupcake. Some examples include the Purple Galaxy Cupcake at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort/Disney’s Pop Century Resort, African Violet Cupcake at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Purple Contempo Cupcake at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Purple Minnie Cupcake at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Purple Cupcake at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort.

While each cupcake has a different flavor, these desserts are definitely favorites will all ages. Each cupcake has a different flavor profile. From fruit fillings to sparkly buttercream, it could be difficult to pick just one favorite.

Other resorts have more elevated purple dessert options. Black raspberry lemon tart, at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, is definitely a perfect combination of tart and sweet. If you want to find a purple dessert, there are a myriad of options.

While these treats are quite tempting, a personal favorite treat is at Magic Kingdom. Added in November of last year, the Wonderland Slushie, available at Cheshire Café is delightful. The slushie is colorful combination of pinks and purples. The grape flavor tends to dominate, but it is quite refreshing.

The best part of this treat is the candy coated straw. The paper straw is covered in purple, pink and red candy pieces. It is like having a second treat to enjoy once the slushie is gone. Just remember to grab a few extra napkins for sticky hands.

Do you have a favorite Disney dessert? Are Disney’s purple sweet treat tempting you to make a visit?
