Who’s ready for Easter? Cadbury Bunny Tryouts are here and one lucky pet could be the next infamous star of the iconic Easter commercial.

Cadbury and Easter are a classic combination. Returning again, the Cadbury Bunny Tryouts have families’ furry friends, leaping lizards and cuddly cuties vying for the iconic role. Could your pet be the Cadbury Bunny for 2020?

There are a few brands that are always associated with an annual event. The Cadbury Bunny is one of those universally known seasonal characters. There is something simple, adorable and happy about the Cadbury Clucking Bunny.

Last year, Cadbury hosted this type of bunny tryouts. Henri the bulldog earned the crown. That adorable dog definitely captured the spirit of the iconic role. This year, all the household pets are invited to apply to the Cadbury Bunny Tryouts online.

“The Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial has been a perennial Easter-favorite for over thirty years. After last year’s newest edition, featuring Henri the bulldog, and the overwhelming positive feedback we’ve received, we decided to bring back the Bunny Tryouts,” said Ethan Mandel, associate brand manager, Cadbury brand.

This year’s contest has a new twist. America gets to cast their vote for the new Cadbury bunny. After the entries close on February 24, the top 10 finalists seek America’s vote to earn the win.

If a family is thinking about submitting their pet for the contest, they need to think creatively. Of course, an adorable pet is always cute. But, the finalists need to set themselves apart. How can this year’s Cadbury bunny be a little different?

Maybe this year, that Cadbury Clucking Bunny Easter is less furry or little scaly. What about a bearded dragon or maybe baby goat or an adorable piglet? Granted, it might be a little hard to get those ears on some pets (like a fish). Still, this year why shouldn’t people go a little outside of the box.

The contest submissions are open through February 24, 2020. In addition to the winner getting a cash prize, Cadbury will make a $10,000 donation to the The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

What type of animal do you think will win Cadbury Bunny Tryouts? Could your pet be the next iconic Easter star?
