For 30 years, Taste of the NFL has brought together celebrated chefs and football fans to support various charities. Now, enjoying that delicious football food and learning some culinary tips from celebrity chefs has a bigger purpose.

In the past year, the dire circumstances of food insecurity has become forefront in many people’s minds. From the long lines at food banks to the universality of the face of food insecurity, this national concern now has a face that people can recognize.

For the Taste of the NFL at Home, this year’s event benefits GENYOUth. The charitable organization focuses on creating healthier school communities. It is best known for its Fuel Up to Play 60 programs.

While the previous Taste of NFL celebrations have had guests sample amazing food prepared by some of the best chef in the nation, this year’s event has a different twist. Now, home cooks can create those special dishes at home via the interactive event.

Joining Taste of the NFL at home this year are several chefs who have been vocal about the issues that food insecurity causes. Andrew Zimmern, Tim Love and Carla Hall are some of the celebrity chefs who will be leading the cooking demos on Super Bowl Sunday. These chefs understand that the event is entertaining, but it is also a time to come together for a worthy cause.

Andre Zimmern said, “As a veteran of many Taste of the NFL events, I know this will be an incredibly interactive experience guaranteed to satisfy your appetite to do good, eat well and make a true difference in helping to feed our nation’s kids.”

Carla Hall said, “As a long-time supporter of GENYOUth, I have seen first-hand the valuable work they do to help feed children in high needs communities, I am ready to step up and get cooking to add a little flavor to Super Bowl Sunday and a big boost to fight youth and hunger.”
