While many people have taken to spicy chicken McNuggets and still can taste that seasonal Shamrock Shake, a big McDonald’s food announcement caught everyone off guard last night. McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce is back and there’s only one way to get it.

For some people, fast food sauces are extremely important. It is more than just any condiment. People crave that taste and it is the only way to complete that meal.

With the McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce, the 90s throwback has become legendary. Whether there was a boost from Rick and Morty or just that taste of nostalgia that has people wanting more, the sauce seems to be flavored with something more than just a touch of vinegar. And, people long for that taste to return again?

Ready to dip into McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce?

As seen in the late night announcement, McDonald’s is bringing back the Szechuan Sauce for a limited time. Available exclusively on the McDonald’s app, guests can be infatuated with that flavor starting March 31.

To be clear, the offering is available while supplies last. The packages can only be ordered via the app. Guests can order up to five packets.

Now, lets hope that this special sauce doesn’t find its way to an online marketplace with a huge price tag. Even though this offering comes in golden foil packets, it is a sauce, not the long lost treasure of legends. It is best to consume the sauce, not put it on the shelf for posterity.

At the same time, this offering is a big deal. The legendary dipping sauce has only been available three other times. This special food offer might be worthy of a white table cloth dining experience.

Are you counting down to the March 31st return of McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce? How will you mark the special occasion?
