While alumni and football will be cheering all the big plays at the Cheez-it Citrus Bowl, a walk around the concourse will bring other cheers as fans dig into the food. The Cheez-It game day concessions could be the new trend in food and sports that many people will want to adapt.

At the upcoming Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, the brand will be offering two special Cheez-It game day concessions, Loaded Chili Cheez-It Crunch Dog and Mac and Cheez-It Walking Nachos. While these food offerings will be available during the bowl game, the idea could come to any football watching gathering.

Many people love a good Walking Taco. The simplicity of all that flavorful food goodness in a convenient handheld, portable container makes it a big win at sports events. While it is often used with other snack foods, the reality is that any bagged snack can work.

The Mac and Cheez-It Walking Nachos start with Extra Big Cheez-Ot crackers. The larger size makes for a more composed bite. Those snacks are topped with extra sharp cheddar, jalapeno queso, bacon, and green onions. The contrast of a touch of heat with the savory bacon makes for eating enjoyment.

Thinking about this idea, an at-home version can be customized in many ways. From adding some more spice to switching up the bacon for another protein, the options are many.

With the Chili Cheez-It Crunch Dog, the classic hot dog is a huge, hearty bite. It takes the classic chili dog and boosts it with spicy jalapeno cheese sauce, white onions, and a big helping of lightly-crushed Cheez-It crackers. That contrast in textures makes for an enjoyable bite. Although a classic chili dog is a favorite, that extra cheesy, crunchy component has people going back for more.

Anyone can recreate this idea at home. Or, while watching the game, people can create a hot dog bar with all the toppings. Whether they want a big serving of chili or an extra helping of Cheez-its, the customization adds to the enjoyment.

While the food selections are part of the fun during the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, the Cheez-It Flexin’ Section at Camping World Stadium will be full of snackified fun. From cheez-scented massages to orange-color infused pampering, everyone will be feeling the orange snack love.

For anyone who wants the opportunity to join the fun, they will need to visit the pre-game FanFest to prove their cheesy dedication. More information can be found the Cheez-It website.

Kick off the new year with the 2024 Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. The game airs January 1 at 1 p.m. ET on ABC. The event is held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
