"The pressure is on as the final three bakers take on the most revered and beloved of all baking ingredients: chocolate. In the Skills Challenge, the bakers must make a perfect version of the ever-temperamental chocolate souffle. For the final Master Challenge, the bakers must create the ultimate chocolate cake — a truly spectacular, elaborately-decorated cake, using some type of liquor as the required featured flavor. In the end, host Adam Rapoport and judges Jason Smith and Marcela Valladolid will declare one baker the Best Baker in America and award them a $25,000 prize!"
Let’s be honest, a perfect soufflé is difficult in the most perfect conditions. The time constraints, the kitchen and the pressure could make any soufflé fall. Still, the judges won’t accept any excuses. If one of the bakers has a trick to making the perfect soufflé, that baker will definitely have an advantage.
The master challenge could give Andy an advantage. As a culinary instructor with baking competition experience (not just Food Network programming), this challenge could be to his advantage. His chocolate decorations have been on point. The elaborate decorations could be his strongest point.
The liquor featured flavor should be in Thiago’s wheelhouse. He knows how to create elevated flavors. Many liquors go with chocolate, so the options are many. If Thiago can conqueror on flavor, his dessert might be hard to beat.
