"Spring abounds with gardens and flowers, so for this pre-heat, the nine bakers must create cupcake flower arrangements and amp up the flower power with flower essences. In the main heat, the competitors are challenged to make and decorate mirror-glazed gazing balls and plate them in edible gardens."
Flower essences can be extremely tricky. While floral scents can be delightful, no one wants to eat a dish that tastes like potpourri. The key is to find the floral notes without the flavor becoming too overpowering. Balance is key.
Decorative cupcakes could be a chance for the professional bakers to shine. Cake decorating is a hard skill. Hopefully, the bakers take their time to delicately decorate the cupcakes.

For the main challenge, the mirror glazed cakes should be a difficult challenge. Creating the perfect mirror glaze takes a lot of skill. From making sure that the cake is covered to creating the optimum sheen, this challenge should push the bakers.
