The month of April is saving the tastiest treats for last! On Monday, April 30, tune in to the Food Network to catch the series premiere of Dallas Cakes!

Food in Dallas, Texas is great! From our steaks to our Tex-Mex dishes and dessert pastries, we’ve got it all. And when it comes to extraordinary cakes, Dallas is home to some of the most brilliant and crafty bakers! To prove it, Food Network is debuting Dallas Cakes, adding to the network’s already mouthwatering dessert shows.

Your Monday nights are about to become oh so sweet. The series consists of ten half-hour episodes that follow the best Dallas-area bakers baking up delicious and astounding cakes. We’re talking over-the-top, as crazy as you can imagine, cakes.

From Food Network, here’s what you can expect to see in the series premiere, episode 1, “Dragons and Belt Buckles, Oh My!”: A groom’s cake with an HBO’s Game of Thrones theme isn’t complete without a sculpted ice dragon and an intricately carved Iron Throne. The ultimate block party celebrates Chinese New Year with a cake so over the top it literally smokes. Then, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Fort Worth Stockyards Championship Rodeo, 24 layers of cowboy coffee cake are turned into the world’s largest belt buckle, and the real question is whether it will hold up to being delivered right to the arena floor.
