Edy’s Toy Story 4 ice cream is your friend this summer!
With the last installment of Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story series coming to theaters on June 21, it’s important to have an ice cream to help you emotionally digest the last movie!
We all know the Toy Story movies pack an emotional punch, and sometimes we need something delicious to help us move on with our lives. Edy’s is here to comfort us though, with two Toy Story 4 inspired flavors — Carnival Churro Cravings and Chocolate Peanut Butter Prize Winner!
I’ve also seen these called Chocolate Peanut Butter Midway Mashup, and Cinnamon Churro Carnival Combo on different websites, so I assume the names are based on where the item is released.
But regardless, they’re the same flavors, and same packaging. I personally like the Midway Mashup name better, as it reminds me of the Toy Story Midway Mania ride in the Disney parks.
At a little over $4 per container, I opted for just the Chocolate Peanut Butter Prize Winner flavor. I found these at Target, but rumor has it they are still hard to come by in the wild. My local Target had a number of them though, so I imagine with the movie coming out this week, they’ll become easier to find.
As far as flavor goes, this is your standard chocolate ice cream, with peanut butter bits thrown in. To make this slightly more fun than your average ice cream though, Edy’s has mixed in Buzz Lightyear and Alien shaped candy (filled with peanut butter) to make it more Toy Story themed.
The ice cream is soft, and still good, though the fun character shapes aren’t exactly the best looking. In fact, you’ll likely never see what they look like for yourself — they’re buried pretty well within the ice cream, making it hard to pick them out for photos.
This isn’t the only Toy Story themed food out there, and I plan to hunt down, and try, the rest this week.
