CAVA opens new drive thru restaurant in Frederick, MD!
CAVA, the Washington DC based fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant, has just opened it’s first Pickup By Car (drive-thru) restaurant. Will you be indulging in their delicious, made to order meals?
I’m a sucker for Mediterranean food — and I’m an even bigger fan of drive-thru’s! I live for new ones, and I love traveling across the US to visit regional chains. So when CAVA announced their new drive-thru fast-casual restaurant, I had an itch. An itch for fast Mediterranean food.
The new location is now open at 5615 Spectrum Dr in Frederick, MD, which is right outside Washington DC, and only 45 minutes from Baltimore.

Unlike a traditional drive-thru,the Pickup By Car model allows guests to easily place a digital order using the CAVA App orat order.cava.com, select a convenient pickup time and drive directly up to the designatedwindow where they will receive their meal. The CAVA Frederick location will be the third of 5restaurants testing out the new pickup experience in 2019."
I went on opening day, and was happy to see a line out the door. I opted to go for the Pickup By car option, which requires you to order via the mobile app.
The app is easy to navigate, and with it I ordered a customizable pita — tzatziki, grilled chicken, Fresno peppers, crumbled feta, tomato, cucumber, onion, shredded romaine, and yogurt dill.
Granted, my food wouldn’t be ready for an hour due to how popular the restaurant was, but there is a mall across the street.

CAVA also serves Mexican cola (as well as Main Root Root Beer), which was a perfect addition to my insanely fresh pita. At $12 you certainly aren’t breaking the bank either, and I didn’t have to wait in the never ending line!
