Food festivals are a great way to enjoy some of the local delicacies of an area and explore an ever growing food scene, especially in Florida.

Fall is one of our favorite times to get out and explore. The weather starts to cool down, you can sit outside to eat without getting too hot, and you can enjoy some of the best food festivals around, especially in Florida.

Throughout the year the state hosts dozens of food festivals, but we’ve rounded up the ones that are a must for Fall 2019.

Naples Stone Crab Festival

This festival in Naples, Florida celebrates one of the oceans most treasured items, stone crab. From October 25-27 you can try out stone crab served in a variety of ways, the annual cracking of the first claw, and an ice cream eating contest for kids.

Central Florida Peanut Festival

If you love peanuts you’re going to want to head to the Central Florida Peanut Festival in Williston, Florida. The festival creates dishes of all kinds with peanuts, even making them into arts and crafts!  The event is all day on October 5.

The Annual Crazy Pepper Chili Cook Off

Located in Sebring, Florida, the Annual Crazy Pepper Chili Cook Off is an event not to miss November 9. The event includes a chili-dog eating contest for kids and adults, a car show, various types of chili and local beer.

Tallahassee Greek Food Fest

Greek food lovers can unite in Tallahassee, Florida for two days of delicious food and drink from October 18-19. This festival has been going strong for 35 years. Recipes used at this festival are mostly old family recipes, meaning everything is super authentic. The festival is also bringing in traditional Greek wine and beer to wash everything down with.

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

Each year at Walt Disney World, Epcot puts on one of the biggest food festivals in the state. With over 30 outdoor kitchens and countless food and drink offerings from around the globe this is the festival to be at if you’re looking to combine your love of Disney and food all into one epic day. The festival runs through November 23.

Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic

This underrated and little known food festival is just outside of the gates of Epcot at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts. The two night event is November 8 and 9, and brings different cultures and traditions all into one spot, including a beer garden, champagne lounge and a beach party, all included in the price of admission. And don’t forget the night includes all you care to drink wine and beer!

If you’re headed to Florida this Fall you’re going to want to try to stop and check out at least one of these food festivals going on.
