On January 21st, hot sauce lovers across the nation will be celebrating National Hot Sauce Day! As a hot sauce lover myself, I’ll be celebrating the days events with TRUFF Hot Sauce — one of my go too hot sauces!

I enjoy my TRUFF on delicious things like pizza, french fries, and even salad, but did you know TRUFF can also be used in a myriad of recipes as well?

TRUFF has shared with us some recipes that you can easily make at home. These recipes will also warm you up during these cold winter nights and days — but fear not. These recipes can be enjoyed year round!

Tuscan Tortellini TRUFF Soup (serves 4-6)

In just under 40 minutes you can make this hearty soup with a little bit of a kick! I love tortellini soup, and the addition of TRUFF makes it that much tastier.

"Ingredients1 tablespoon olive oil2 teaspoons garlic, peeled and minced1/4 cup yellow onion, peeled and minced1/2 cup celery, minced3 tablespoons sun-dried tomatoes, chopped4 oz. prosciutto, chopped1/4 cup red wine1 1/2 cups chicken broth1 1/2 cups tomato sauce1-2 tablespoons TRUFF White Sauce3/4 cup milk3 cups cheese tortellini2 cups baby spinach3 tablespoons parmesan, gratedsalt and pepper to tasteInstructionsHeat olive oil in a large dutch oven or stock pot over medium high heat.Sauté garlic, onion, celery and sun-dried tomatoes for 3-4 minutes or until vegetables are tender.Stir in prosciutto, red wine, chicken broth, tomato sauce and TRUFF White Truffle.Simmer for 20-30 minutes on medium low, stirring frequently.Stir in milk, tortellini and spinach and continue to simmer for 5-6 minutes or until tortellini are tender and thoroughly cooked.Top with parmesan and season to taste with salt and pepper before serving."

Spicy Pancakes with Smoked Salmon (serves 4-6)

I love pancakes. Mixed in with some spice and smoked salmon, and you have a brunch meal that’s just begging to be made!

Pair with a spicy Bloody Mary, and you’ll have a breakfast that’ll certainly spice up your day!

"IngredientsSpicy Pancake Batter2 cups all purpose flour2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt2 eggs2 cups whole milk1-2 tablespoons TRUFF White Sauce1 teaspoon paprikapan release spray1 tablespoon grated horseradish1 1/2 cups plain yogurt2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped (divided)4 oz. smoked salmon, sliced3 tablespoons red onion, peeled and minced1 lemon, sliced1 tablespoon capersInstructionsIn a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk, TRUFF White Truffle and paprika until thoroughly blended and smooth. Keep refrigerated until ready to make.Spray a non-stick skillet with pan release spray and preheat over medium heat. Ladle batter onto skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway through, until fluffy and thoroughly cooked. Repeat using all of the batter. In a small bowl whisk together horseradish, yogurt and 1 tablespoon of fresh dill until combined. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.Serve pancakes topped with smoked salmon, onion, lemon slices, capers and horseradish yogurt.**Chef’ s note: You can certainly use a boxed pancake batter mix- as long as this mix is not super sweet (that would really throw the flavors outta wack). Just add in the TRUFF, 1-2 tablespoons, as an additional ingredient."
