Dairy Queen set to bring back Mint Oreo Blizzard
Dairy Queen is set to celebrate St Patrick’s Day by releasing the Mint Oreo Blizzard. Is your red spoon ready for this season frozen treat?
In a press release statement, Dairy Queen revealed some information on this promotion. This is not the first time you may have seen this item as it also released last year. Dairy Queen will also be bringing back the mint shake if you’re not a fan of the Blizzard fare DQ has to offer.
Usually around St. Patrick’s Day, the bright green colored shakes and other foods appear in various restaurants. While the color is associated with the Irish themed holiday, the mint flavor is often paired with it.
The DQ Mint OREO Blizzard is the Blizzard of the Month for March. Besides the bright green mint color, the Blizzard is quite minty. With creme de menthe, the flavor is quite refreshing. Plus, the combination of mint and OREO cookies pieces is always tasty.
If you prefer a sippable frozen treat, the DQ Mint shake has a similar flavor and color. The classic vanilla soft serve is combined with the creme de menthe. Topped off with whipped topping and a cherry, it is a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
In case you missed it, McDonald’s has brought back their Shamrock Shake in time for St Patrick’s Day. if you’re not a fan of Dairy Queen or don’t have it in your area, you can always get the McDonald’s Shamrock Shake as a good replacement item. For the shakes 50th anniversary, McDonald’s is bringing in their golden Shamrock Shake to celebrate the fun.
