Toast National Vodka Day with a Marvelous Martini

Vodka – the water of life – what a fabulous reason to celebrate on National Vodka Day.
National Vodka Day – October 4, 2020 is the time to reflect on how much we love vodka while we sip a chilled martini.
Let’s make the perfect vodka martini using these tips:
- Chill your martini glass. You may want to keep a few martini glasses in your freezer to have them ready at a moment’s notice.
- Choose very good quality vodka. Ketel One Vodka is an award winning vodka made from European wheat with a crisp taste and a smooth, soft finish. It has a fresh aroma with hints of citrus and honey. You will recognize the signature silky softness coat your tongue as you enjoy the fresh flavor of this elegant vodka.
- Use olives or a lemon twist for a garnish. Ybarra olives are a lovely choice. They specialize in Spanish manzanilla olives. Choose one olive or three olives because two olives are considered bad luck by most bartenders.
- If you like your martini “dirty”, add a little olive juice.
- Decide if you like your martini shaken or stirred. In the movie Goldfinger, 007 requested that his martini be shaken, but many bartenders will tell you that vodka is too delicate to be bounced around with a bunch of ice, so stirred is often their preferred method.
- Visit Ketel One website to find lots of fun cocktail recipes including the French Martini, Lemondrop Martini and Ultimate Apple Martini.

One more thing to try on National Vodka Day – Ketel One Botanical. You will love this smooth vodka distilled with real botanicals and infused with natural fruit essences. No sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no artificial flavors.
Did you know? The word vodka stems from the Russian word, voda, which means water. Vodka is sometimes referred to as “The water of life.”
