Dairy Queen brings back Mint OREO Blizzard for St. Patrick’s Day
If you are a Dairy Queen lover we know you are disappointed that the chain canceled Free Cone Day due to COVID-19 concerns, however the chain is redeeming itself with the return of some ‘minty’ fan favorites in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Welcome back Mint OREO Blizzard and Mint Chip Shake.
The Return of the Mint OREO Blizzard Treat
As if we needed any convincing to eat anything with OREO…DQ announced the return of its Mint OREO Blizzard Treat!
Tasting like St. Patty’s Day in a cup, the Mint OREO Blizzard Treat elevates your palate by taking the refreshing taste of cool mint and adding a tasteful crunch with everyone’s favorite, the Oreo cookie.
The Mint OREO Blizzard Treat is the crème of the green-mint-chocolate treat crop, featuring OREO cookie pieces and crème de menthe topping blended with creamy DQ vanilla soft serve.
The classic DQ soft serve, mixed with mint and cookie turns this Blizzard into a ‘lucky’ green dream. Count me in!
And, as a bonus, it’s perfectly blended green-colored goodness makes it the perfect accessory to your St. Patrick’s Day outfit. It’s a win, win situation!
The Dairy Queen Mint Chip Shake is BACK
DQ also brought back its Mint Chip Shake. It’s a blend of refreshing crème de menthe, DQ world famous vanilla soft serve, milk and bursts of choco confetti chips.
Hm sounds pretty similar to the McDonald’s Shamrock McFlurry, which also made a comeback this month.
Both products are available at participating Dairy Queen locations nationwide for a limited time.
Not quite the ‘minty’ fan? DQ offers over 10 Blizzard flavors including Red Velvet, Brownie Dough, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup (um okay YUM), and more!
Until next year, where we can hopefully bar hop with our friends on St. Patrick’s Day, we’ll have to celebrate with the DQ Blizzards and shakes!
Are you heading to your nearest DQ to celebrate on March 17?
