Quick, find your nearest IHOP because the chain now has thick-cut premium bacon!

Did someone say, “bacon”?

We sure did! IHOP is now offering Steakhouse Premium Bacon, making IHOP the first national family dining restaurant chain to provide this type of elevated dining experience, all at an affordable price.

Juicy Details on the Bacon

The IHOP Steakhouse Premium Bacon is a thick-cut piece of bacon that is five times thicker than IHOP’s regular bacon.

WOW. FIVE TIMES THICKER? People already love bacon but this really sounds like a bacon lover’s heaven. Regular bacon smells great, I can only imagine what this one smells like.

This bacon offering is fried to tender, crispy perfection and finished with a maple glaze for the perfect savory and sweet combination.

I have to admit that maple glaze touch is super unique there IHOP. We see what you did there, driving us to buy those pancakes.

Even More Bacon

Not only is IHOP offering this new type of bacon, but there is an ENTIRE menu with seven dedicated items that naturally fits with this cut of bacon. Talk about super customizing.

The Bacon Obsession Menu features items, such as a Bacon Burger and Steakhouse BLT, but also includes some sweet creations including a Maple Bacon Milkshake, Candied Bacon Pancakes and Oreo ‘N Bacon Waffle Sundae.

According to the press release, here’s the lineup of the limited time menu:

Steakhouse Premium Bacon BreakFEAST: “Two slices of steakhouse premium bacon topped with a light maple glaze.” Of course served with the classic sides, “golden hash browns, two eggs your way and two fluffy buttermilk pancakes.”  Now we see why it’s called, “BreakFEAST.”

Steakhouse Premium Bacon Burger: “One slice of the premium bacon placed on a Black Angus Steakburger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles.” This definitely sounds like a dinner burger option.

Steakhouse BLT: “Two slices of the thick-cut bacon with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles.” This may be the better, lighter option for lunch.

Candied Bacon Pancakes: “Two fluffy pancakes loaded with crispy bacon pieces, drizzled with vanilla sauce and dulce de leche caramel sauce. And even more bacon, topped with a slice of candied bacon and crowned with whipped topping.” Okay, woah, game changer!

Maple Bacon Milkshake: “A vanilla milkshake blended with sweet maple glaze and bacon pieces.” Topped with whipped topping (obviously), a drizzle of maple and a slice of candied bacon. I’m not sure if I would try milk and bacon mixed together, but I know there are some who’d take the risk!

OREO ‘N Bacon Waffle Sundae: Oh my god. Anything with Oreo has my attention. I don’t even need the description, but here is how IHOP describes the sundae, “Two OREO cookie-filled Belgian waffle topped with bacon pieces, more OREO cookie pieces, chocolate sauce, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, whipped topping and a slice of candied bacon.”

Bacon Lovers Combo: “Two bacon pancakes, served with two slices of bacon and two eggs your way. This option is only available Monday-Friday for a limited time only.”
