IHOP, the nation’s ultimate pancake powerhouse, is constantly upgrading its menu to appeal to the ever changing cravings of the American crowd. The iconic breakfast spot has brought pizza, shakes, burgers, stuffed french toasts, steaks and so much more. IHOP offers so many great options that we forgot about the amazing eats that have left the menu.

Here are five discontinued items that IHOP should bring back, even if it’s for a limited time. Bet you didn’t realize IHOP had these options at one point in time, but don’t you wish they were around so you could give it a try?

Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast

Yes, you absolutely read that right! Cheesecake and French toast all served on one plate. Sounds like a dessert heaven.

In November 2017, IHOP released a Stuffed French Toast for National French Toast Day that paired buttery Brioche French toast layered with cheesecake filling.

The limited edition innovative line was available in three delectable flavors: OREO Cookies and Cream, Toffee Apple Cheesecake, and Strawberry Cheesecake, until January 1, 2018.

Anyone who loves Cheesecake needs a taste of this!

Pancake Sliders

In 2018, IHOP launched Pancake Sliders as a part of their menu, according to INSIDER. IHOP made headlines where media described the sliders as an “upgraded McDonald’s McGriddle.” WOW.

That sentence alone has to make you disappointed that you never got to eat these. McGriddles are amazing!

Since IHOP doesn’t offer this item anymore, you can still order all the ingredients separately and create it at your table. Here’s what you should order —

  • (2) silver dollar buttermilk pancakes
  • (1) scrambled egg omelet made with buttermilk pancake batter
  • (1) order of turkey sausage
  • (1) order of hickory-smoked bacon
  • (1) slice of American cheese
  • Topped with maple syrup

The Ultimate Waffle Stack

According to FoodBeast, in 2018, IHOP gave America the Ultimate Waffle Stack. Based on the name, only the best was delivered from IHOP even if the calorie count was a lot.

The Ultimate Waffle Stack was a hearty option including cheddar-infused waffles as the “bread” of the sandwich (YUM) along with six strips of bacon, two eggs, and white Cheddar cheese, all topped with maple syrup.

This sandwich was the ultimate feast alright with plenty of oogey gooey cheese and meat.

The Pancizza

Obviously this was a combination of pancakes and pizza. In February 2019, IHOP released The Pancizza, in honor of National Pizza Day (February 9), which happens to be the creation of our two very best round foods.

For one day only, IHOP partnered with NYC pizzeria, Bleecker Street Pizza, to give away free Pancizzas.

The individual-sized Pancizzas were available in three flavors: Original Buttermilk, Bacon and Cheddar, and Cupcake. These sounds like desserts, but pizza bagel style.

Splashberry

Was this just a splash of berries? Well, sort of. According to a 2016 IHOP menu, Splashberry, was a blend of IHOP’s juicy, red strawberries, lemon-lime soda and premium orange juice.

Sounds kind of refreshing for a hot summer day! If you blend with ice, it could be a fruity frozen drink.

We get it, not all items will be around for forever, but it’s nice when they make a comeback.

IHOP recently shrank their menu due to COVID, and even now, the well-known spot still delivers the most delicious meals at all hours of the day.
