Martin’s Rolls has teamed up with the Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards in a new partnership to become the teams’ official potato roll for the 2021-22 NHL and NBA seasons.

This means that the rolls will be available at concession stands located throughout Capital One Arena, which is perfect as potato rolls provide a very fluffy, filling texture, which provides a better bang for your buck when it comes to stadium concession spending.

Martin’s Potato Rolls have been a fixture in the DC area grocery stores since 1984, and they make the Mid-Atlantic region’s top-rated hamburger rolls and hot dog buns.

“Martin’s has been a staple on dinner tables in our region for decades and we couldn’t be more excited to officially welcome them to the Monumental Sports family,” Patrick Duffy, senior vice president of global partnerships for the Capitals and Wizards ownership group, Monumental Sports and Entertainment, said in a press release. “We pride ourselves on providing high quality food and beverage experiences and Martin’s reputation aligns perfectly with this mission.”

Martin’s Rolls become an official partner of the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the teams of Capital One Arena!” Tom Sullivan, Martin’s Rolls Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager, said in a press release.

It is not clear, though seems likely, that this would also apply to other Monumental Sports and Entertainment-owned teams like the WNBA’s Washington Mystics, NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go, or esports’ Team Liquid, or other arenas that lie within the company holdings.

The Washington Capitals are currently third in the NHL’s Eastern Conference Metro Division through 35 games, with 48 points and a record of 20 wins, 7 losses and 8 overtime losses.

The Washington Wizards are currently third in the NBA”s Eastern Conference Southeast Division, with a 19-20 record at roughly the halfway point of the season.
