While a national food holiday might be an excuse to sip and savor, National Drink Wine Day can be a reason to either discover a new wine or rediscover a bottle that has not been opened in a while. Although many people have favorite wines that fill the wine fridge, sometimes looking beyond those favorites can add a taste of excitement to that wine glass.

Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Rosé

While many people might know the favorite Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay, this rose entices with its lovely color. When the world is filled with rose colored glasses, the first sip must deliver on that deliciousness. From the grapefruit to the strawberry, the flavors are approachable. From first whiff till last sip, it is a true delight.

Cavit Pinot Grigio

Having brought the Cavit Pinot Grigio to the US in the 1970s, it has become a favorite white wine. A versatile wine, it has broad appeal. The white peach makes it a simple, yet juicy wine that should always be chilled and available.

Erath 2020 Oregon Pinot Noir Rosé

A dry rose, the acidic notes make this wine perfect for that charcuterie plate. While there are strawberry notes, there is a touch of creaminess to the wine. Even with some tropical fruits adding to the luscious qualities, this wine could have people swooning at first sip.

Pine Ridge Vineyards Sparkling Chenin Blanc + Viognier

While not necessarily a varietal that sparks big conversation, this wine has some exotic fruit flavors that make it a must try. From the slight lemongrass and melon aromas to the hint of lychee mixed into the citrus flavors, this wine is easy drinking and quite entertaining.

7 Deadly Zins

As one of the more popular and approachable zinfandels, 7 Deadly Zins is a delightfully jammy wine. With that touch of spice, it is a lovely wine to open at the end of the day and unwind.
