The weather is warmer, pools are open, and grills are back on, which means Memorial Day weekend is here! This year, the federal holiday falls on Monday, May 31, and it’s difficult to remember which stores are open for the day, so we put together a quick guide you can reference. It’s also the worst feeling when you are a host and run out of BBQ essentials and have to run to the grocery store to find out their closed!

Restaurants & Fast Food Chains

In case you’ve had enough BBQ hosting, you can always rely on a good burger from the following restaurants and fast food chains open on Memorial Day.

  • Applebee’s – Half off apps are never a bad call.
  • Arby’s – For all the ‘meats’ lovers.
  • Benihana – Enough food and fun to feed the whole family.
  • Boston Market – They aren’t just a go to place for Thanksgiving.
  • Buffalo Wild Wings – Wings, yes please!
  • Burger King – Of course in case you need chicken sandwiches.
  • Chick-fil-A – It’s not Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Sunday so you can still get your bottle of Chick-fil-A sauce.
  • Chili’s – They are offering to do the grilling for you on Memorial Day with a 3 for $10 deal of their famous half order of Baby Back Ribs.
  • Chipotle – Easy way to celebrate, just buy trays of protein and veggies!
  • Denny’s – Busy day ahead of you? Denny’s offers big breakfast to fuel your energy for the day.
  • Domino’s – The 5-5-5 deal is enough to feed a group of 6, who said you have to cook?
  • IHOP – No one ever said no to pancakes.
  • KFC – Can never go wrong with a bucket of fried chicken!
  • McDonald’s – There is always someone who needs a happy meal.
  • Olive Garden – Breadsticks by the pool? Now that sounds like a must have.
  • Panera Bread – Even with warm weather, apparently people still like soup!
  • Pizza Hut – Who doesn’t want a stuff crusted cheese pizza?
  • Red Lobster – Endless shrimp for everyone!
  • Shake Shack – A hot day calls for a cool vanilla shake.
  • Sonic Drive-In – Maybe looking for more than just vanilla shakes? Sonic Blast varieties like Reese’s Peanut Butter, M&M’s, Butterfinger, Snickers and even Oreo.
  • Starbucks – Everyone still needs their coffee and refreshers to function.
  • Subway – Always a good back up for those vegetarians attending the BBQ!
  • Taco Bell – Don’t forget to grab those Mexican Pizzas.
  • The Cheesecake Factory – Who would say no to cheesecake?
  • Wendy’s – Better have those spicy chicken nuggets on deck.
