While America might run on Dunkin, sometimes a great beer is more refreshing than another latte. For another year, Harpoon has partnered with Dunkin on a special beer release. In addition to a fall favorite, three new donut inspired beers join the 12-pack. Which one will you sip first?

Special, limited edition beer offerings are more than just fodder for the cicerone. Putting aside the elevated, carefully crafted small releases, some special beers are meant to spark a conversation, think outside of the box and maybe even discover a new food pairing.

For the past four years, Harpoon and Dunkin have collaborated on a special release. While the idea of donut inspired beers might be anticipated, it is the flavor that brings people back. Whether these beers are enjoyed on their own, paired with a dozen donuts, or sipped with a savory meal, the beers’ flavors drive people to crack one open sooner versus later.

When Harpoon and Dunkin first released its Harpoon Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale, it quickly captured the interest of both the consummate beer drinker and the PSL fan. That slight creaminess set this beer apart from other pumpkin ale offerings. From slightly roasted notes to the classic fall spices, this beer is quite enjoyable on a crisp fall night.

Speaking to the new beer offerings, Brian Gilbert, Vice President of Retail Business Development at Dunkin said, “We have elevated our collaboration with Harpoon this fall with three new beers, all made with Dunkin’s iconic coffee, donuts and matcha tea. Beer, matcha, coffee and donuts, we can’t think of a better combination.” The beers are: Harpoon Dunkin’ Blueberry Matcha IPA, Harpoon Dunkin’ Maple Crème Blonde Ale, and Harpoon Dunkin’ Midnight American Porter.

Looking at the three new beer offerings, the Harpoon Dunkin Blueberry Matcha IPA might be the most innovative. While there are other blueberry beers on the market, the earthiness of the matcha with the sweet blueberry combined with the hoppy notes from an IPA will be a must try. Given that it is a hazy IPA, the slight tropical nod makes it juicy and quite drinkable.

For a fall beer that feels as crisp as the air, the Harpoon Dunkin Maple Crème Blonde Ale is must sip. With just a hint of sweetness from the maple, it entices another sip. Consider pairing this beer with a bacon burger for that salty sweet combination.

Lastly, the Harpoon Dunkin Midnight American Porter is a reimagining of the beer that started it all. Featuring Dunkin’s Midnight Roast coffee, the flavors are robust. With hints of chocolate and roasty aromatics, it is the beer to enjoy by the fire.

This year’s donut inspired beers will be available in a new Harpoon Dunkin Box O’ Beer mix pack. In additional, Harpoon Dunkin Pumpkin will be available in 6-packs and on draft at the Harpoon Brewery. The beers will be available for a limited time.
