While some people might recall that infamous phrase about laying a finger on that Butterfinger, that classic chocolate and peanut butter candy bar can be more than just a sweet, crunchy salty treat. Even though the spooky season might have the kids filling their bags with that candy loot, adults want to be part of the fun. While digital creator and author Tinx has some thoughts on Halloween events, she has a cocktail that will get the conversation started. Ready to sip on that Butterfinger-Tini?

Over the years, Butterfinger has transformed that classic candy bar in many ways. From folding that treat into ice cream to an over the top baked dessert, there are no shortage of food concepts that can incorporate that flavor.

But, one item had been left out of the conversation, the cocktail glass. With the new Butterfinger-Tini, the Halloween party, girls’ night in, or just because moment has a little sweet sipping to enjoy.

As part of the cocktail launch, Butterfinger partnered with Tinx, a huge fan, to put this idea on people’s radar. During a recent conversation with FoodSided, she shared why she enthusiastically said yes to this collaboration.

Tinx mentioned that Butterfinger was her favorite candy bar growing up. Whether it was Halloween or just because, she said, “I associate Butterfinger with happiness and joy. It’s been my lifelong favorite.”

While friends would find a few of these candy bars stocked in her freezer, the new cocktail partnership was too sweet for her to say no. As Tinx mentioned, “I’m against boring cocktails. I think that this concept is the perfect marriage between creativity, fun, and my favorite candy bar. I just love the idea of making one for a friend while you’re watching a scary movie. This October, we all need as much joy and light and love in our lives as possible. So that’s really what this cocktail is about.”

For anyone who wants to shake up this Butterfinger-Tini, here’s how to make one.

Butterfinger-Tini

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces peanut butter whiskey
  • 1 ounce chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 ounce Butterscotch Syrup
  • 3 dashes chocolate bitters
  • 1.5 ounces cream or non-dairy creamer.

Directions:

  • To create the Butterfinger-Tini, add all measured ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds and double strain into a Butterfinger rimmed martini glass. For the Butterfinger rim, brush a martini glass with peanut butter and roll the rim of the glass in Butterfinger Bits or crushed bars. Finally, sip and enjoy!

With a cocktail in hand, it is time to focus on the other Halloween fun. Tinx mentioned that she likes to decorate her house, watch scary movies, and enjoy every opportunity throughout the season.

Since many people feel pressure about the perfect costume, Tinx offer the following advice when trying to pick that outfit. “I always think that being clever is kind of a winning strategy, so I would definitely not go for anything too obvious. Instead I would go for something tongue in cheek or has a fun twist to it. Those ideas always win because it is a fun conversation starter.”

Fostering those connections is vital to good relationships. While the end of the year can have many people caught up in all the events, Tinx recommends that people never lose sight of their friends. As she said, “your friends have been there for you and they will continue to be there for you.” That girl time is just as important as that hot date.

From her best selling book to her podcast, many people listen to what Tinx has to say. Whether people listen for direct advice or find encouragement from relatable stories, the reality is those platforms make it easier for everyone to be more willing to stand up for their own personal representation.

And, since a little laughter can make the world a little brighter, what would Tinx do if her significant other did not like Butterfinger. It might be time to rethink that relationship because the love of the Butterfinger might be a relationship requirement.
