5 celebrity cooking shows worth watching

There are dozens of food-centered television shows out there between Food Network and the many streaming services that cater to cooking/baking fans. Those looking to learn real recipes can easily turn to professional chefs like Gordon Ramsey and Ina Garten for tips, but sometimes it's also fun to watch celebrities in the kitchen.

Some of them are surprising good at it while with others, the enjoyment comes from watching them fumble their way around. Anyone looking for a cooking show to watch hosted by a celebrity should check out the five on this list!

With Love, Meghan

With Love, Meghan is the perfect kind of comfort television to watch when you want to enjoy someone living a gorgeous life while still offering accessible tips to implement in your everyday life. Produced and starring Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, the Netflix series is very cozy and inviting.

The Duchess goes above and beyond to ensure her guests feel welcome in her home, making them yummy homemade treats like her easy one-pan pasta recipe that circulated all over TikTok and even tricks for making refreshing iced tea. The show also featured several celebrity guests like Abigail Spencer and Mindy Kaling.

PARIS HILTON

Cooking with Paris

I'm still mourning the loss of Netflix reality cooking show Cooking with Paris led by the one and only Paris Hilton. An unscripted series, the show featured Paris trying new recipes and often fumbling her way around the kitchen with various utensils.

It also included plenty of fun guests like Demi Lovato, Kim Kardashian, Kathy Hilton, and Nikki Glaser. I'm actually pretty surprised Netflix canceled this one after one season because it was so fun and often hilarious. Yes, Paris plays up her whole ditzy schtick but that's what made it entertaining.

Stanley Tucci

Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy

Stanley Tucci's series is slightly different from some of the other shows on this list as it is focused on traveling around Italy and its different regions, featuring the actor exploring everything from cuisine to culture. The series started on CNN but was later moved to National Geographic with a follow-up show, Tucci in Italy, premiering this past May.

The original series received significant acclaim upon its debut, earning multiple Primetime Emmy Award nominations and even winning for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series. Tucci is a charming and beloved actor, so seeing him enjoy himself by tasting various dishes and experiencing life in Italy on the farms and ranches, or soaking in the gorgeous scenery, is an absolute delight.

Selena + Chef

Out of all the shows on this list, Selena + Chef is easily my favorite. Selena Gomez is very endearing and humble in this show as she learns her way around a kitchen and makes a genuine effort to utilize the tips and tricks demonstrated to her by professional chefs.

In each episode, Selena invites a different chef into her home to help her learn how to make a couple of new dishes and they also donate money to a charity of the chef's choice. The series became so popular that it has resulted in the spin-off series Selena + Restaurant, which premiered in 2024.

Ayesha’s Home Kitchen

Canadian-American chef, actress, and all-around businesswoman Ayesha Curry is best known for her cookbooks, lifestyle brand, and hosting shows like The Great American Baking Show and Family Food Fight. She and her husband, NBA star Stephen Curry, collaborated on the cooking show Ayesha's Homemade, which later relaunched as Ayesha's Home Kitchen on the Food Network. It's another cozy series in which the actor invites people into her home to learn how to make easy and delicious recipes.
