There's no better way to get into your "Happy" place than by chowing down on a Subway meal and tuning into new movie that happens to be a follow-up to a late 1990s classic. According to trusted food blogger Markie Devo, Subway is indeed launching a Happy Gilmore 2 special this July in honor of the upcoming sequel film arriving on Netflix on July 25.

Starting on July 10, participating Subway locations will reportedly launch the collaborative meal that includes one of four collectable cups and a custom bag. As for the food part, you can get any fresh value meal or meal of the day special for $1 more than the usual price.

The most eye-catching part of Devo's post is obviously the collectable cups, which each feature a colorful retro-inspired design of a few popular Happy Gilmore characters. Adam Sandler himself, who plays the titular character in both the 1996 film and the upcoming sequel, features on one cup in green, while Ben Stiller's Hal L is on another. The remaining two cups have images of Christopher McDonald's Shooter and Oscar, who I believe is Bad Bunny's character in the sequel.

As for the custom bag, guests will get a brown paper bag with a print of Sandler as Happy and "The Happy Gilmore Meal" on it.

That said, if you were expecting any special food items, you might be disappointed. Devo replied to one commenter and verified that there won't be any "special sandwiches," and the meal is just there as an upgrade to the other menu options. So, basically, you're paying for the retro-designed collectable cup and the bag.

The original Happy Gilmore is a sports comedy film following a former ice hockey player who discovers that he's actually pretty good at golf and enters paid tournaments in the hopes of earning enough money to prevent his grandmother's house from being foreclosed on.

Fans of the first movie will recall that Happy secured a lush endorsement deal with Subway, so the real-world tie-in for the sequel is quite clever.

In the trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, the opening moments show Happy opening the trunk of his car and looking at his golf club, which is still emblazoned with a Subway logo, so it seems like the golfer is still a Subway man through and through!

Much of the creative and acting team from the first movie are back for this one, like McDonald and Stiller, along with Julie Bowen and Blake Clark. Newcomers to the sequel include Sandler's daughters Sunny and Sadie, Bad Bunny, Margaret Qualley, Eric André, Post Malone, and professional golfers Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Brooks Koepka, and more.

Happy Gilmore 2 premieres exclusively on Netflix on July 25.
