Are you looking to get your father a unique gift for Father's Day? Perhaps something with a little bit of a novelty twist? Then Benton's might have just launched the perfect choice for you. Partnering with Tilt Creative + Production, Benton's has released limited-edition dryer sheets designed to bring that rich smokehouse aroma into your home. In short: Now your dad can walk around smelling like savory scent of slow-cooked bacon.
Benton's is a very popular family-run Tennessee smokehouse known for its old-school, slow-smoking techniques. It's the type of place that quickly attracts a cult-like following and since its launch in 1947, the company has received heaps of praise from culinary legends, such as Sean Brock, Tom Colicchio, and David Chang.
People know they can expect quality when they order from Benton's, which is why it's a go-to for a lot of celebrity chefs and an essential to many Michelin-starred menus.

To make the smoke sheets an enviable gift, Benton's has designed a Smoke Sheets set priced at $75 that includes 10 vacuum-sealed organic cloth dryer sheets smoked in the world-famous smokehouse, three packs of Benton's Bacon, and a Benton's T-shirt.
The complete kit is packaged inside a limited edition engraved keepsake box with an official seal. Those interested in purchasing the set, either for yourself or your dear old dad, can venture over to the website bentonssmokedsheets.com.

The idea for the scented smoke sheets come from Richmond, Virginia's award-winning creative studio Tilt Creative + Production. They worked closely with the Benton's team to ensure the product would live up to the company's meticulous wood-fired cooking methods.
How does one go about imbuing cloth dryer sheets with the savory delights of applewood and hickory? They started by hanging the organic cotton sheets in the actual Benton's smokehouse for a few days, ensuring the fabric was given the chance to soak up the scene. They were then vacuum-sealed to preserve the smell. The overall keepsake box was also designed with Richmond-based fabrication studio Big Secret.
For those unfamiliar with Benton's, the smokehouse is a culinary Southern institution known for its aged prosciutto-style ham, bacon, and country hams.
To me, one of the most compelling elements of this whole deal is the fact that the sheets themselves are made out of organic cotton and built to last you a long time as reusable dryer sheets. The smell is bound to hold for a long time and even after it fades you can still use them.
