Many fast food chains are already rolling out summer menus and Dairy Queen is no different. The popular ice cream spot recently revealed the new additions to this year's menu, which includes the Dipped Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard and the Mixing Bowl Mashup Blizzard that blends together cookie dough and brownie batter. Other popular flavors are returning like the S'mores Blizzard and the Confetti Cake Blizzard.

But one of the brand's most exciting new additions is the Superman Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard Treat, which is almost as much of a mouthful to say as it is to eat. With Warner Bros. Pictures releasing the highly-anticipated new Superman movie this July starring David Corenswet, it's no surprise that Dairy Queen wanted to add something fun to their menu to go along with its debut.

This new Superman Blizzard is already being in sold at participating Dairy Queen restaurants, but you'll want to act fast as they will only be available for a limited time.

What's in a Superman Blizzard?

Like the name suggests, these sugary frozen treats have a lot going on. Combining cookie dough, cake batter flavor, soft-serve ice cream, and sprinkles, it's definitely going to sate even the strongest sweet tooth.

Another bonus to this fun, themed dessert is that buyers will get a special limited-edition themed Superman cup. And yes, the ice cream is blue.

So, is the Superman Blizzard worth it? Reviews have been mixed. I haven't tried this specific Blizzard before but I have tried the chain's regular Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard and liked it well enough. If you like the cake batter flavor then I don't see any reason you wouldn't like it, the only significant difference is that this one has blue dye.

But keep in mind that this Blizzard is different from the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, it's meant to taste like cookie dough and cake batter, but there aren't any chocolate chips in the mix.

As for the Superman movie, it comes from writer and director James Gunn and serves as something of a reboot to the DC Extended Universe, with this being the first movie in the upcoming DCU Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. Corenswet plays the titular hero and he's joined by Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillion, and more.

There have been quite a few movie and fast food collaborations as of late, and I, for one, welcome it. I've missed this era of marketing where movie studios team up with restaurants to give us some whimsical takes on food.

Superman hits theaters on July 11.
