Smoothie bowls have become a popular and beloved breakfast choice (or anytime snack) throughout the past few years thanks to chains like Sweetberry, Jamba Juice, and countless local coffee stores. While it's nice to treat yourself to one every once in a while, they can be quite pricy (my local coffee shop charges about $12-15 per açaí bowl), so wouldn't it be nice if you could just buy a few pre-topped frozen ones smoothie bowls to keep in your freezer until you're ready?
Well, now you can! Sambazon just launched a new lineup of pre-topped frozen açaí and smoothie bowls. I love an açai smoothie bowl, I usually get myself one at least once a week. And I have tried some of Sambazon's products in the past. They also sell ready-to-top frozen açaí bowls that are mostly plain but allow you to customize with your own fruit. I like them well enough but have consistently wished they'd just come pre-topped, and now they do!
These new additions are designed for people like me that want to enjoy a smoothie bowl without the prep work. All you have to do is thaw it out and enjoy.
Sambazon's other smoothie bowls have included toppings like granola or coconut flakes, but the new flavors come with a variety of frozen fruit in addition to gluten-free granolas.

Here are the three new all-in-one açaí bowl flavors.
- Açaí Berry Blend with strawberry, blueberry, coconut, and granola toppings
- Açaí Raspberry Blend with diced strawberry, chocolate, and granola toppings
- Mango Dragon Fruit Blend with diced mango, pineapple, and granola toppings
Currently, these new bowls are being sold at Target but they will launch at Sprouts and Publix this summer. Additional retailers are expected to carry this product later in the year.
"We're always striving to offer an açaí option that suits every customer's preference and need," said Vicki Isip, Chief Marketing Officer of SAMBAZON. "While our existing bowls cater to those who love to customize, our new fruit topped bowls provide ultimate convenience. It's the perfect option for new customers looking to try an Açaí bowl without the prep work"
If you want to further customize your pre-topped frozen smoothie bowl, I highly recommend drizzling peanut butter or almond butter on top for some protein. You could also sprinkle them with an extra helping of your favorite oats, flaxseed, chia seeds, or any other fruit you have on hand. The nice thing about these bowls is that they are ready to go as is, but it's also easy to add a little more to them if you have spare time.
Sambazon was founded in 2000 and was the first company to introduce "certified" Açaí to the world through their supply of organice and Fair Trade certified Açaí products. In addition to smoothie bowls, they also sell juices, energy drinks, and smoothie packs to easily make delicious Açaí smoothies at home.
