Hello Kitty and Sweet Loren's fans are in for a treat as Sanrio has partnered with the cookie dough company to launch a first-of-its-kind allergen friendly Birthday Cake Cookie Dough. Using natural ingredients like vegetable juice and Spirulina, the company has crafted an innovative recipe free of artificial dyes.

Sweet Loren's is known for their simple, allergen-friendly baked goods and this new cookie dough is pre-cut and refrigerated, so it can be ready to go in under 15 minutes. The dough is also dairy free, and gluten free, with coloring stemming from plant ingredients.
Each package of the Birthday Cake dough bakes 12 cookies in total, though because it is pre-cut you could just make one or two at a time if you wanted for a quick snack rather than baking them all at once. I love pre-cut dough like that because then I can just make a handful rather than the whole dozen, allowing the dough to last longer than feeling obligated to eat all the freshly-baked treats in one sitting!
The packaging comes with baking instructions and tips, along with nutrition info. These cookies are made from a flour blend, cane sugar, palm oil, and other natural ingredients. It's free of the top nine allergens, including peanut, tree nut, soy, milk, wheat, egg, sesame, fish, and shellfish. Each cookie is only 100 calories.
While there are other birthday cake doughs on the market, this is the rare inclusive option perfect for anyone with allergies or other dietary restrictions.
The Sweet Loren's x Hello Kitty collab is in stores now, launching on June 24 on sweetlorens.com in addition to retailers like Publix, Target, Harris Teeter, Market Basket, Giant Foods, Giant Martins, Ingles, Lowes Foods, Meijer, and Fresh Thyme. It will also launch in Whole Foods stores this August. The suggested retail price is $6.99.

Sweet Loren's was founded by Loren Castle. After surviving cancer in her early 20s, Castle sought to change her diet and focus more on whole, natural foods, while cutting out highly-processed ingredients. Because of her stricter dietary needs, she struggled to find a fitting cookie on the market and decided to make her own.
