Disney resorts restaurants join Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month
For the first time, Disney resorts restaurants join Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month. Over 100 Orlando restaurants will offer dining specials this fall.
From August 25 through October 1, the 12th annual Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month features some of the area’s best and favorite restaurants. New for this year, select Disney restaurants have joined the dining promotion. With over 100 participating restaurants, locals and visitors can enjoy all types of cuisines at affordable prices.
The dining promotion gives guests a three course prix fixe dinner for just $35. While each participating restaurant is different, the promotion allows diners to try something new or revisit a perennial favorite. The restaurants are located all over the Orlando area. From the tourist district to downtown Orlando, some of the most highly recognized names are participating.
As the theme park capital of the world, Orlando’s dining scene caters to all tastes and dining experiences. From nationally recognized chains to local favorites, the Orlando area is growing as a culinary city. The growth shows that both tourists and locals seek delicious dining. Food isn’t a forgotten part of travel; rather, it is an integral part of the experience.
New for 2017, six Walt Disney World resort hotels will participate in this promotion. For example, Jiko at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and the Grand Floridian Café at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort will participate. At just $35 a dinner, travelers can save plenty while visiting Disney.

This annual promotion is a perfect way for locals to try restaurants. Some of the area’s highly acclaimed locales, like Ravenous Pig and The Rusty Spoon are participating. With this promotion, more people can try the award winning cuisine from these noted chefs.
In addition to affordable dining, this promotion gives back to the Orlando community. Every year a local charity receives a substantial donation from the dining event. Last year, the event raised over $195,000 for the Russell Home for Atypical Children.
During the dining month, each meal served raises $1 for charity. For this year, two local charities will benefit from the promotion. Both Freedom Ride, Inc. and BASE Camp Children’s Foundation are the designated non-for-profit organizations.
