But, without the farmer, these farms cannot survive. The Land O’Lakes Farm Bowl will have NFL football players challenging real farmers in on-farm experiences.
Being an NFL player requires strength, determination and grit. A Minnesota farmer needs these same characteristics and more. While this event during Super Bowl LII is meant to be entertaining, it highlights farmers’ important role in the food industry.

As more home cooks look to emulate professional chefs, they are trying to better understand the farm to fork connection. Whether it is buying from local farmer’s markets or learning about the farms supplying their favorite foods, the agricultural industry is benefited.
The fun Land O’Lakes Farm Bowl brings together two far apart worlds, farms and football. While few people may be interested in watching a cow roping competition, they might want watch an NFL football player fumble in an unfamiliar world. The event will be entertaining.
