Top Chef Season 15 is ready for some cross network promotion. On this week’s episode, the chefs take on the Top Chef Olympics.
So far, Colorado has been a beautiful backdrop for Top Chef Season 15. From camping to beer, this season has taken full advantage of many things that the Mountain High state has to offer. In this week’s Top Chef episode, the chefs put their skills to the test in an Olympic themed challenge.
According to Bravo, this week’s episode features the following:
"On the eve of the Quickfire, one of the chefs has a very special delivery. Padma and Season 14 Winner Brooke Williamson surprise the chefs at their house with breakfast ingredients and task them to create a delicious breakfast dish featuring Nutella. Then, Olympians Meryl Davis, Gus Kenworthy and John Daly inspire the chefs to focus on precision, speed and creativity in the first-ever Top Chef Olympics where the chefs will face off in three head-to-head heats. Who will win the gold and which bronze medalist will be sent packing?"
The quickfire challenge is definitely a sponsored challenge. Granted, everyone loves Nuetella. Who can resist that chocolate hazelnut spread? Still, finding a way to transform Nuetella into something more creative than just crepes could be challenging.
The elimination challenge is a twist on common Top Chef challenge. These head to head challenges are popular with fans. With the Winter Olympics being shown on NBC affiliated channels, it makes sense that Top Chef would have an Olympics themed challenge.
Often, these particular head to head battles causes a favorite chef to be sent home. The preview video shows tension between Tanya and Claudette. Could last week’s challenge winner be the chef going home this week? It could happen. Look at the season so far. No one has been safe.
Who will earn the gold medal and who will experience the agony of defeat on this week’s Top Chef?
