Voodoo Doughnut brings magic is in the hole to Universal Orlando

Voodoo Doughnut fans know that there is “magic in the hole.” Visitors to Orlando’s Universal City Walk will be able to indulge in these eccentric doughnuts.

Universal Orlando Resorts announced that Voodoo Doughnut will be coming to Orlando’s Universal City Walk this spring. Although the exact opening date hasn’t been determined, doughnut fans are rejoicing. In addition to the original Portland location, the Florida location joins shops in Denver, Austin and Hollywood.

Voodoo Doughnut will open this spring at Universal CityWalk, Universal Orlando Resort’s entertainment and dining complex. Loved for its sinfully delicious, delightfully weird lineup of fried creations, Voodoo Doughnut will feature signature originals and one-of-a-kind delectables such as the Dirt Doughnut, the Memphis Mafia, the Bacon Maple Bar, Grape Ape and, of course, Voodoo Doll doughnuts.

For the past several months, many rumors have circulated that this announcement would be coming. A few of the Orlando Universal City Walk stores have shown signs of change. The exact Voodoo Doughnut location was not confirmed. Universal Media Relations only commented that more details would be coming.

Voodoo Doughnuts has a legendary following. Fans line up for the unusual flavor combinations, quirky doughnut combinations and the opportunity to find “magic in the hole.” One of the leaders in the elevated doughnut craze, the brand’s loyalty has never waiver and continues to grow.

The most iconic doughnut from the brand is the Voodoo Doll doughnut. With a pretzel stake through its heart, this doughnut is the brand’s signature doughnut. This doughnut is a yeast doughnut filled with raspberry jelly and is covered in chocolate. While the design can slightly change, the quirky essence is always apparent.
