Forget March Madness. Indulge in some peanut butter madness with these semi homemade peanut butter brownie cookies using Reese’s peanut butter eggs.

Certain flavors go hand in hand. Chocolate and peanut butter are one of those classic flavor combinations. Sometimes that flavor combination needs a big boost. Great ready for some Peanut butter brownie cookies madness with these special treats.

Our new rescue pup, Gracie, has been keeping us busy so I haven’t had a chance to bake as much.   My husband kidded me last night that I hadn’t baked in 3 days (a long time for me).  These brownie cookies topped with a homemade Reese’s peanut butter egg are a great sugar rush treat to give you lots of energy for all the NCAA tournament games.. one of the best times of the year if you are a sports fan!

So, today I did a semi homemade treat (that’s what I call  goodies when I use a mix).  They are a brownie cookie with a homemade Reese’s peanut butter egg in the middle  and drizzled with melted chocolate.

Is there any better candy than Reese’s peanut butter eggs?  I realize they are essentially peanut butter cups, which you can buy all year round. But for me, the Reese’s eggs are special.  I tweaked a friend’s mom’s peanut butter bars recipe and came up with this recipe.   And, if you want to use your favorite sugar cookie (or any cookie) recipe, feel free.  Also you can drizzle whatever chocolate you want on top.  I like milk chocolate.
