Food options at Walt Disney World resorts are plentiful. Disney’s best quick service restaurant is hands down Satu’li Canteen.

Going to a theme park isn’t just about the rides and entertainment. Food is a huge draw. While many theme parks use food festivals to bring in more guests, the regular restaurants are upping their food game as well. Disney’s best quick service restaurant is Satu’li Canteen at Animal Kingdom.

Located in the Pandora area of Animal Kingdom, Satu’li Canteen offers some tasty food at quite reasonable prices. The menu features bowls with various proteins, like beef, chicken and fish. Each bowl comes with your choice of base, like rice or potato hash, and choice of sauce. With all the various combinations, a guest could have a different meal for numerous visits.

On my recent visit, I had the combination of chicken and beef over hash with the sweet onion sauce. The beef is beautifully medium rare. The red and sweet potato hash is flavorful, yet not over salty. Paired with the sweet onion sauce, the bite is nicely balanced.

Others in my group got beef over rice with ranch sauce and the combination over hash with ranch sauce. Each of our bowls were tremendously tasty and a huge hit. The bowls were well seasoned but not over powering. While one person in our group added tabasco, it was because he preferred insanely spicy foods.

For a quick service restaurant, these bowls are huge, filling and relatively healthy. Priced at under $16, the value for this mean is tremendous. The bowl can definitely tame a hearty appetite.

Bowls aren’t the only option at Satu’li Canteen. The steamed cheeseburger pods (bao buns) are also a great choice. A vegetarian option is also available.

While the food portions are filling, the desserts and drinks are quite tempting. While I prefer the frozen drinks at Pongu Pongu, like Night Blossom, the specialty Pandora drinks here are good too. If I had to choose between a drink and at dessert at Satu’li Canteen, I would choose the dessert. The blueberry cream cheese mousse is almost too pretty to eat.

Another reason why Satu’li Canteen is Disney’s best quick service restaurant is the mobile ordering option. The Disney app allows guests to place a food or drink order via the Disney Parks app. When the order is ready, the guest simply goes to the pick-up area. It is extremely convenient, especially on busy park days.

If you want great food at a great value, Disney’s best quick service restaurant is Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom. It might not make those waits for the Pandora rides go faster, but it will give you something to look forward to after the wait.
