In this week’s Iron Chef America episode, Iron Chef Guarnaschelli takes on a challenger from Minnesota. Can chef Justin Sutherland score a win for the challengers this season or will the Iron Chefs supremacy continue? Only the judges can determine the ultimate victor.
According to the Food Network, this week’s episode features the following:
"Minnesota chef Justin Sutherland brings his contemporary Southern cuisine to Kitchen Stadium in an attempt to fleece Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. If they want to win, each chef will have to impress judges Susan Feniger and Jonathan Waxman."
Based on this synopsis, there isn’t a good clue about the secret ingredient. The word fleece could mean that lamb is under the cloche. That ingredient wouldn’t necessarily be an advantage for the guest chef. Guarnaschelli is a master of the lamp chop.

So far this season, the secret ingredients haven’t been too interesting. I was hoping for something crazy. Sure carrots are yummy, but what about something a little more unusual.
