Disney Springs, the dining destination, welcomed its newest must visit restaurant, Terralina Crafted Italian. A visit will have you transported to Italy’s coast.

Nestled on the lake in Disney Springs, Terralina Crafted Italian invites guests into a rustic, Italian space. While the ambiance is welcoming, the food epitomizes the Italian experience. From a refreshing glass of wine to a hearty plate of food, this Italian dining experience will make a lasting impression.

Drawing on his love of Italy’s Lake Como region, Executive Chef Tony Mantuano has created an Italian dining experience that people want to visit time and again. While different from his highly acclaimed Chicago restaurant Spiaggia or his rustic River Roast, this Orlando restaurant appeals to both the foodie and the causal diner. Whether you are a fan of the celebrity chef or crave a delicious Italian meal, this restaurant is a must visit.

Since this Italian dining experience isn’t meant to be rushed, a cocktail and an appetizer is a perfect way to begin the meal. The restaurant has a wide array of craft cocktails. Many of the cocktails use fresh herbs, which enhance the flavor and work with the rustic Italian vibe.

If dining in a group, the must have appetizer is the antipasta tower. Overflowing with cured meat, pickled vegetables and truffle potato chips, this appetizer could almost be a meal. Whether paired with a cocktail or slowly savored with a glass of Italian wine, this appetizer is Italian hospitality at its finest.

One thing about Italian food is that the dishes are hearty. While the entire menu is enticing, ordering more than one entrée isn’t possible for me. Even if you share dishes with your dining companions, the most vigorous appetites might not finish an entire plate on her own. Still, you will want to order a lot of dishes.

Since sometimes I enjoy a couple appetizers as a meal, a personal favorite meal that is a must try is the meatball with polenta. The meatball is so flavorful with its tomato basil sauce. Served on top of creamy, luscious polenta, this appetizer is easily a meal for smaller appetites. If you are sharing the appetizer with friends, there will be plenty of food but you might fight over who gets the last bite.

For the foodies, the housemade porchetta is an absolutely stellar dish. One of the table dishes (i.e. a dish served for two people at the table), the crispy pork skin adds a luscious texture to the moist pork. Served with apple mostarda, the dish is quite balanced with the combined flavors.

The table dishes are served with shaved fenel salad and a choice of side. If you choose a table dish, just make sure that your tablemate has the same size appetite. There is always plenty of food at this restaurant.

Terralina Crafted Italian offers a wide variety of Italian dishes. From classic pastas to wood fired pizzas, there is a dish that fits everyone’s flavor preferences. The only concern with this restaurant is actually choosing one dish. With so many delicious options, you might have order envy.

Of course, any meal isn’t complete without a sweet ending. The desserts at Terralina Crafted Italian are wonderful. The gelato options are always a delicious choice. While the flavors change, anyone on the list will be yummy.

For the more adventurous types, I recommend the lemon panna cotta. The brightness from the lemon is a perfect end to an Italian meal. With the candied thyme garnish, the lemon gets a boost from the herbal notes. The dessert satisfies that sweet tooth without ending the meal with too heavy of a dessert.

With all the dining options at Disney Springs, Terralina Crafted Italian offers an unique perspective on Italian dining. From the outdoor dining with a lake view to the front patio space, the restaurant works for many occasions.

Happy hour on the patio is a perfect break from theme parks or for a leisurely Saturday afternoon with friends. Dinner can be a lively family event or a quiet romantic evening for two. This restaurant will quickly become a top dining choice at Disney Springs.
