Food Network Star season 14 is reaching the finale. Who gets a pilot is the question posed in this week’s episode. Three finalists will showcase their talents in a pilot, but which person will see the ultimate dream come true?
According to the Food Network, this week’s episode features the following:
"The final three finalists become four again when a previously eliminated competitor re-enters the competition thanks to a win on FoodNetwork.com’s Star Salvation. With the help of eliminated finalists to serve as sous chefs, the final four must cook for their lives to determine which three will get a chance to shoot their own pilot. Former Food Network Star winners Tregaye Fraser and Jason Smith help determine which three finalists will move on to shoot pilots directed by Food Network’s Sunny Anderson, Duff Goldman and Robert Irvine."
It will be interesting to see which finalist returns from Star Salvation. Even if you watched the online series, you don’t know the answer to this question. The answer will be revealed on tonight’s episode. Truthfully, I don’t think that any returning finalist will move onto the pilot stage.
For me, the most interesting aspect to tonight’s episode will be Christian’s pilot. I still think that he has the strongest chance to win this competition. His culinary knowledge and personality are a good fit for the Food Network.
Still, the twist of having former contestants as sous chefs could be the finalists’ downfall. If a finalist doesn’t have a strong team behind him, it could produce a poor final cook. Sometimes a person is only as good as his kitchen help.
