Recently GrubHub surveyed a variety of foods ordered around both the Los Angeles and Boston area during playoff games. When the home team won, certain food surged in orders. Whether these foods are lucky or just an interesting circumstance, the food choices are quite intriguing.
The study takes into account foods that are more popular on the day when a team wins compared to the day when they lose.

Truthfully, the majority of these foods aren’t the typical take-out items. How often does anyone order lamb kebabs? Usually pizza, Chinese food and even some fried chicken top the most popular lists. But, can anything be learned from this food list?
Honestly, I can’t find any pattern in this food list. The only common factor is that people are ordering non-typical takeout foods. With so many possibilities available via GrubHub, people don’t have to go for typical or boring. Being more adventurous in flavors and cuisines is the new norm.
