Peppermint season is back and Häagen-Dazs is ready

Forget spice, it is peppermint season. Häagen-Dazs winter favorite flavor is back in the freezer section and your spoons better be prepared.

Peppermint season is here and it is time to put down the PSL. Always a favorite flavor as holiday fever gets into full swing, peppermint, particularly peppermint bark, is a sweet craving. That combination of chocolate and peppermint only get better when it is folded into Häagen-Dazs ice cream.

Häagen-Dazs has two peppermint options that are back in the freezer section. The Häagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark is a white chocolate ice cream with pieces of chocolate peppermint bark and peppermint candy pieces folded into it. The combination of cool mint, rich chocolate and creamy ice cream is totally irresistible.

Second, the white chocolate ice cream is dipped into dark chocolate and sprinkled with peppermint candy pieces. The combination of textures and flavors gives an elevated taste to the classic ice cream bar.

Peppermint season always starts to begin right as the calendar turns to November. As all the pumpkin recipes start to become overwhelming, classic holiday flavors start to emerge. Peppermint is one of those classic holiday flavors that is always a favorite.

While many people enjoy peppermint bark on its own, adding it to ice cream makes for a more decadent treat. Sure ice cream may be more popular in warmer weather, but it is enjoyable all year round.

Of course, peppermint is more popular in the winter. People often associate the flavor with the candy cane. It makes sense that other foods would try to incorporate that winter flavor into its offerings.

While peppermint ice cream may not be a healthy food, peppermint does have health benefits. One of the reasons that peppermints are served at the end of the meal is to help with digestion. Why not use that reason to add a second scoop of this ice cream to the dessert bowl.
