Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 episode 2 preview: Gratitude all around
Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 episode 2 focuses on the theme of the season, gratitude. Which baker will be giving thanks for another week?
Happy Baking Championship Season 5 episode 2 is feeling grateful. As everyone begins to plan for Thanksgiving and its annual feast, the bakers must find a way to find to work together to achieve a picture perfect Thanksgiving themed desserts.
Curious what will be baking on Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 episode 2? The Food Network provides the following synopsis.
"Everyone has a different favorite pie for Thanksgiving, so for the pre-heat, the eight bakers work in teams to make four different kinds of pies … on the same sheet pan! In the main heat, the bakers embrace the stuffed feeling after the Thanksgiving meal by making stuffed cakes featuring seasonal ingredients."
Judges Lorraine Pascale, Duff Goldman, and Nancy Fuller examine contestant Sherry Clarke’s completed dish from the pre-heat, as seen on Holiday Baking Championship, Season 5.
The pre-heat sounds quite interesting. Who hasn’t had the Thanksgiving pie battle? Baking multiple pies can be time consuming. If there is a way to cook four pies on one sheet pan, I want that cooking hack. Just think how much easier holiday baking will be.

Of course, the team aspect can always be stressful. The bakers sometimes don’t want to compromise on their vision. The team that works together well could have a big advantage.
For the main heat, stuffed cakes is always a fan favorite. There are few things more satisfying than a cake that has a hidden surprise. It will be curious how the bakers handle the stuffing aspect to this challenge.
Lastly, seasonal ingredients is a curious theme for the stuffed cakes. Since this challenge focuses on Thanksgiving, I think that the flavors will be more fall, warm spices. Possibilities could include sweet potato, pecan and, of course, pumpkin. I wonder if there will be more creative flavors that could be used.
