Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 episode 3 preview: Caffeine fix
In Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 episode 3, the bakers might be thinking about Thanksgiving, but they will be serving up a big boost of caffeine.
Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 episode 3 prepares for Turkey Day with some delicious treats inspired by the turkey feast. While pumpkin is often the flavor of the day, these bakers will be thinking of different flavors to serve after everyone has indulged in that turkey goodness.
According to the Food Network, Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 episode 3, Turkey Day Delights, will feature the following:
"Seven bakers must make a dessert combining cranberry with another flavor; to combat the sleepiness that follows turkey, the main heat challenges the bakers to create a sweet treat that pairs coffee with an unusual flavor of coffee syrup."

First, cranberry desserts will surely have everyone felling a little tart. While no one will be serving that iconic, canned jellied cranberry sauce, this pre-heat challenge could be a little tricky. Depending on the flavor paired with cranberry, this challenge could be either a wonderful surprise or an epic disaster.
For example, cranberry and orange would make a lovely pairing. That combination of sweet and tart is delicious. But, the same isn’t said of grapefruit and cranberry. Hopefully, all the scary combinations were left at Halloween Baking Championship.
Second, the main heat challenge sounds quite intriguing. While some people might enjoy their post-turkey feast nap, many people need to be energized for all that holiday shopping. A coffee dessert could be the perfect way to perk up for the rest of the holiday festivities.
Again, the pairing scenario will be key to the bakers’ success. The bakers who can think creatively will do well in this challenge. Unfortunately, the bakers who get stuck could fall into the bottom.
