Free bagels aren’t a gimmick. Panera is offering its loyal customers this tasty free food treat through the end of the year. Aren’t the holidays looking more festive?

Free bagels can make anyone’s day a little brighter. Many loyal Panera fans received this happy email in their inboxes. Skeptics might want to believe that this offer has a catch, there is nothing be a free bagel in your future.

According to the email from Panera, guests with a MyPanera card can redeem a reward for a free daily bagel at participating locations. There is a limit of one bagel per day. The offer is good through 12/31/2018.

Does it sound too good to be true? Really, there is no catch. Just walk in and order your favorite bagel. Now, if you like cream cheese, butter or something else on top of that bagel, those items are extra. It is just a bagel.

Still, who is going to turn down a free bagel? Whether you want a grab and go breakfast or mid-afternoon snack, free food is hard to turn down. Granted, Panera is hoping that you will buy something else when you pick up your bagel.

Given the plethora of bagels on the Panera menu, you could in theory have a new bagel flavor for many days in a row. From the classic everything bagel to a cinnamon raisin bagel, the choice is yours. There might even be a flavor that you’ve never tried before.

If you are looking for a sweet treat, I would recommend the cinnamon crunch bagel. This bagel is sweet like a pastry. The sugary, crunchy topping is totally addicting. It is almost like dessert for breakfast.

Now, there might be a few people not overly excited about this free food promotion. If you follow that Paleo diet, this Panera promotion doesn’t get you excited. Still, maybe you could share your free bagel with a friend who enjoys eating carbs.
