Universal Orlando Resort is bringing extra sweetness to their holiday celebration. For the first time ever, the theme park will host a holiday dessert party.

Universal Orlando Resort is doing the holiday its way this year. While the Grinch might be sneaking around corners and Harry Potter might be making his magic, the holiday festivities are getting even bigger, and sweeter, at Universal. From December 24 to December 30, guests can enjoy all-new “Exclusive Holiday Viewing Area & Dessert Party.”

This special event within Universal Studios will feature a smorgasbord of sweet treats. The event starts 7 p.m., when guests get prime viewing area for the Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. While enjoying the parade, guests can indulge in variety of beverages. As guest sip and savor, the larger-than-life balloon characters will parade down Universal’s streets.

At 8:45 p.m., guests will join an exclusive viewing area for Universal’s Cinematic Celebration nighttime show. Guests will enjoy a variety of specialty and seasonal desserts and sip on sparkling wine, sparkling cider and more as they wait for the show.

Universal Orlando Resort has gone all out with their holiday treats this year. From classic desserts, like the favorite yule log, to twists on favorites, like a holiday flavored cheesecake, the theme park wants holidays at the park to be tasty and magical. Since the holiday season is all about indulgence and sweet treats, there are so many options to enjoy.

Although Universal didn’t disclosure the exact treats on this holiday dessert party menu, one treat particular treat will hopefully be on the special event menu. The apple strudel on a stick is one of the most fun and tasty holiday treats. With this treat, you don’t have to take your eyes off the nighttime show while eating dessert.

Most likely, the variety of holiday cookies and cupcakes should be on the menu. The gingerbread men cookies are quite good. Don’t worry, the Shrek character won’t be offended if you eat his long, lost cousin.

For the adults, it is nice that a cocktail is included in the dessert party. A little glass of bubbles always makes the holiday season more festive.

Universal Orlando Resort’s Exclusive Holiday Viewing Area and Dessert Party runs from December 24 through December 30. The cost is 49.99 plus tax, and tickets for children (ages 3 – 9) are $29.99 plus tax.

While this event is just for a limited time, maybe Universal could grant my holiday wish and make it a permanent event in 2019. Just think of the tasty beignets that could be served around Mardi Gras.
