Walmart’s best-selling products for 2018 are a very diverse list. While one state might love their snacks, your home town might prefer something else.

As another year comes to a close, Walmart took a look at its best-selling products for the past year. While some products don’t necessarily relate to food, a few states saw food and beverages top the list. What do these products say about certain states?

Looking the Walmart list, a few items are quite curious. For example, the Instapot is a big seller in many states. That small kitchen appliance seems to have found its way into almost everyone’s kitchen. There is something quite appealing about the countertop pressure cooker. A fast, easy dinner appeals to a wide variety of people.

In other states, beverages topped the list. Apparently, iced tea and coffee are big kitchen staples. These type of beverages have wide appeal. From every day to big parties, it makes sense that people are buying a lot of these beverages.

There are two specific items that are the most curious on this best-selling products list. In Nevada, people are buying lots of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Those snacks are quite addictive. It might be the bold spice or maybe it is the crunch. Many people in Nevada could have some Cheetos dust on their hands.

The other curious item is Vermont’s choice of creamed corn. For this vegetable to be the top selling is quite unusual. What are people doing with all that creamed corn? Maybe someone from Vermont can share some interesting recipes or shed some light on the state’s love of creamed corn.

These type of best-selling lists are entertaining. While the list could provide some insight on consumer spending, it is could affect what you see on store shelves.
