Ready to celebrate Lunar New Year? Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop returns to Universal Studios Hollywood with delicious, culturally themed food.

Lunar New Year is the perfect time enjoy some delicious bites. Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop at Universal Studios Hollywood has returned to celebrate Year of the Pig. Actually, the entire theme park is celebrating the occasion. From plum blossom Wishing Trees to Chinese Lanterns, the celebration allows guests to learn about all 12 zodiac signs and they attributes and watch the entertaining Dragon Warrior Training Show.

Of course, any celebration isn’t complete without a myriad of delicious bites. Kung Fu Panda’s Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop returns to mark the occasion. The menu include Po’s Dumplings, Dragon Warrior Bao, Oaagway Eggrolls and Secret Ingredient Stir Fry Noodles. What is the secret ingredient in those noodles? Don’t tell anyone if you happen to know that special secret ingredient.

For many Kung Fu Panda fans, the noodle shop is a must stop during this special celebration. For many guests, this restaurant is a wonderful way to explore Asian flavors and cuisine in an approachable way. Why wouldn’t fans want to eat these infamous movie inspired dishes? (And, maybe capture a perfect souvenir photo).

The Asian inspired fare can be enjoyed throughout the theme park. Highlights of the special menu include Banh Mi Sandwiches, Year of the Pig Cookies, a Ginger Cheesecake and a Chocolate Matcha Cupcake.

While the special Year of the Pig cookies are visually adorable, the ginger cheesecake and the chocolate matcha cupcake are perfection for the inner foodie. Chocolate matcha cupcake offers the balance a depth of flavor. The combination of chocolate and match is absolutely delicious.

Of course, Universal Studios Hollywood Lunar New Year celebration extends into City Walk as well. Voodoo Doughnut will be offers a specially created “Year of the Pig” Doughnut. The always creative Voodoo Doughnut has found a way to bring the Chinese celebration to its indulgent, over the top doughnut line-up.
