NBA All-Star Menu highlights some of the best bites from around the league
Forget the action on the court, the NBA All-Star Menu will definitely tempt you away from the dunks, 3-pointers and drives to the hoop.
For this year’s NBA’s All-Star Menu, Levy, the Charlotte Hornets hospitality partner, and Spectrum Center Executive Chef John Morey looked to impress basketball fans with a varied menu. While some of Carolina’s best barbecue will be highlighted, other select cities will included as well. From delicious plates to festive libations, this year’s NBA All-Star weekend will be a culinary high point.
According to Levy, this year’s menu took six months to plan. With 40 chefs on deck to serve this ambitious menu, the food expected to be served is tremendous. Levy estimates that “10,000 pounds of smoked BBQ, 1,000 turkey legs, 8,000 pounds of chicken tenders and 700 gallons of coffee for NBA crews” will be served throughout the weekend.
While the entire menu looks quite enticing, here are a few dishes that need to be top of your must eat list.

For those people with hearty appetites, this barbecue platter will definitely satisfy. Opt for the pulled pork with mac and cheese, coleslaw and cornbread. Just make sure that you take some napkins and avoid spilling.
Low Country Shrimp and Grits
In the South, there is nothing better than a low country boil. Combining that robust flavor with another Southern favorite, grits, makes this dish a winner. Don’t forget to grab an ice cold beer to wash it all down.

Nachos and sporting events go hand in hand. These nachos aren’t the normal concession stand variety. Topped with either hickory smoked chopped brisket, pulled pork or chicken, you will need a fork to eat this meal. Don’t forget the two types of cheese, jalapenos, pico de gallo and guacamole.

Why have just a burger when you can have a pastrami burger. This menu item is served at the Barclays Center. Forget the plain bun for this double patty cheeseburger. The burger is sandwiched between two Reuben sandwiches.

Bulgogi Banh Mi Sandwich
This sandwich’s combination of flavors will have you booking a trip to Los Angeles. Served at the STAPLES Center, the sandwich features Korean beef (Bulgogi) with sriracha mayo and Asian slaw. It has some heat, but it isn’t overpowering.
Which NBA All-Star Menu item would you want to order? Based on this menu, the food action will be as exciting as the game.
