Smoky meets floral

While tequila is usually the liquor used in a margarita, mezcal can add an intriguing flavor note. Mezcal has a slightly smoky quality, rather earthy. When this flavor is paired with sweet, the flavor is quite delightful.

In this particular margarita recipe, the cocktail combines a variety of flavors. Most interesting is the use of the Angry Orchard Rosé Cider. This beverage has a crisp, floral note that pairs perfectly with the mezcal. While I wouldn’t necessarily have thought of the pineapple, it does add a hint of tropical flair.

Additionally, the hint of bubbles makes this margarita quite refreshing. Bubbles tend to make any cocktail a little more festive.

Here’s how to make Angry Roséita

"Angry Roséita Ingredients: • 6 oz Angry Orchard Rosé Cider 1 oz Mezcal • 0.5 oz Pineapple Juice • 0.5 oz Lime Juice • 0.5 oz Agave Nectar Method: Add all ingredients to a pint glass and add ice. Top with Angry Orchard Rose Cider and garnish with pieces of pineapple and a lime wedge."
