"In the spirit of spring romance, the eight bakers are paired up in teams to create harmonious mashups of two different desserts. In the main heat, the pressure is on at the Spring Baking Championship Spelling Bee when the teams have to make colorful cream tart words that evoke spring — and need to be spelled correctly!"

For the pre-heat challenge, this mashup dessert could spell instant disaster. Some desserts work well together. Still, it is doubtful that the bakers will get some easy combinations. These mashups should be out of left field.

Success in the pre-heat will depend on the baking pairs. Two bakers who work well together will be on the path to success. If egos get into the way, this first challenge could be a baking disaster.

For the second challenge, the synopsis seems quite clear, someone doesn’t know how to spell. It gives a bad flashback to those decorative cake don’ts that people ridicule. There is no auto-correct on a cake.

Lastly, a cream tart is a curious choice for the team challenge. It will be interesting to see if all the tarts need to be the same flavor or if each baker creates his own flavor. Beyond correct spelling, shouldn’t all the flavors pair well together?
