Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is getting a Beauty and the Beast themed bar

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is about to undergo a major renovation to one of its lounges and it will be getting a Beauty and the Beast theme!

Walt Disney World is adding even more magic into the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, by transforming a lounge with a Beauty and the Beast theme. The yet-to-be-renamed space is currently undergoing a massive transformation for guests to enjoy in the future.

The lounge is going to take up the area once occupied by Mizner’s Lounge and Commander Porter’s at the resort. There will be four distinct spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast for guests to explore and get lost in the magic of the classic film.

The signature bar is inspired by Belle’s gold ball gown, with a gold chandelier. It also has accents of the enchanted rose that Beast has in the West Wing. The formal library area will showcase classic baroque designs. And as they say, “If it’s not baroque, don’t fix it.” The library will also have French furnishing with touches of Beast’s friends like Ms. Potts, Chip, Cogsworth, and Lumiere!

There are two other spaces in the garden room and an outdoor patio. The garden room will be modeled after the enchanted forest that surrounds Beast’s castle, and the patio will be reminiscent of the garden terrace in the film.

The concept art for the new lounge shows a dark, cozy, and inviting space that we cannot wait to try out. While many Disney fans were concerned with the French inspired bar fitting into a Floridian-themed resort, we think it’s a great choice.

The new menus for the lounge have not been announced yet. Based off the of the old Mizner’s Bar menu and the recent creativity from the Disney culinary team, we are sure the new drinks and light eats will be a hit.
