Spring Baking Championship Season 5 episode 6 preview
Spring Baking Championship is getting in touch with nature. On this Mother Nature inspired episode, the bakers don’t want to get lost in the forest.
Ready for another inspiring episode of Spring Baking Championship? After last week’s Easter bonnets, the remaining five bakers look to nature for this week’s inspiration. Will the forest prove to be a little dense or will be it simply enchanting?
According to the Food Network, Spring Baking Championship Season 5 episode 6, “Marvelous Mother Nature” synopsis states:
"For Earth Day, the five bakers are celebrating the bounty of Mother Nature, starting with wondrous walnut desserts featuring an assortment of flower honeys. Then the competitors find themselves in a forest grove filled with wild berries, which they must use to flavor an enchanted forest cake with edible moss."
The pre-heat challenge should be quite interesting. Baking with flower honeys might offer a delight of flavors. Honey is such a versatile ingredient. Depending on the flower honey used, the flavors can be subtle or bold.
Additionally, walnuts and honey should push the bakers a little. Finding the right balance of flavors and textures in this dessert will show which baker is wanting to earn the title.
For the main heat, the forest inspired cakes could be visually impressive. Given Ricardo’s use of moss on his Easter bonnet last week, he might want to use that technique in this challenge.
Since the main heat is a decorating type of challenge, Saber should excel, again. He has been quite impressive in these types of challenges.
Additionally, fans should expect lots of meringue mushrooms. That traditional sweet treat would work well in this challenge. As for the edible moss, it will be interesting to see how the bakers put a creative spin on that requirement.
